# Privacy & data protection

## Who is responsible

Erkam Demirci, an independent full stack developer based in Bursa, Türkiye, is the data controller for erkamdemirci.com. Every request about your data reaches him directly at hello@erkamdemirci.com — there is no support desk in between.

## What this site collects

Two things, and nothing else.

- A brief you choose to send. Your name, your email address and the text of your message — whether it arrives by email, over WhatsApp, or through the request_quote agent tool this site exposes to browser agents, which asks for your explicit consent before it sends anything.
- Anonymous usage measurement. Google Analytics 4 records which pages are opened, roughly which country the visit came from and which class of device was used. GA4 stores no IP addresses, this property runs with every advertising signal switched off, and none of it is used to profile you or to target ads.

## Why it is processed

A brief is processed for one purpose: to be read and answered, normally within 48 hours on working days. Usage measurement exists so the site can be improved — which guides are read, which pages are dead weight. Under KVKK Article 5 the grounds are the legitimate interest of the controller and, for a brief, the steps taken at your own request before any contract.

## How long it is kept

Correspondence is kept while the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so a returning client’s history stays intact. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time and it will be. Analytics events are held by Google for the property’s configured retention window and never reach this site’s own server.

## Who else can see it

Three processors, each for one job: Google (Ireland) for analytics, Migadu for email delivery, and Hetzner for the server this site runs on. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with advertisers. WhatsApp messages travel through Meta’s own service under its terms — if that matters to you, use email instead.

## Cookies

Google Analytics sets its own measurement cookies. There is no advertising or marketing tag on this site and no consent banner, because there is nothing further to consent to: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all set to denied before the tag loads. Blocking cookies for this domain in your browser stops the measurement completely, and nothing on the site breaks.

## Your rights

Under KVKK Article 11 — and the GDPR where it applies — you can ask what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to it being processed at all. Write to hello@erkamdemirci.com and you will have an answer within 30 days, usually the same week.

## Changes to this notice

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves. No archive of earlier versions is kept — the page you are reading is the one in force.
