Puzzle Arcade — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 27, 2026

Puzzle Arcade is made by Erkam Demirci ("we", "us"). It has no accounts and no advertising. You never give a name, e-mail address, or phone number to play, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Who you are to us

On first launch the app generates a random identifier for the device and stores it locally. It is not derived from anything — no hardware serial, no install ID, no advertising ID — so it cannot be correlated with you or with any other app. It exists so that a daily leaderboard can count players rather than submissions, and so a duel you send can find its way back to you.

What is stored on our servers

Only what a feature you used needs in order to work:

Your profile picture never leaves the device

If you set a profile picture, it is either one of the built-in illustrations (stored as an ID, not as an image) or a photo you chose. A photo is cropped and shrunk on your device and saved on your device. It is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never shown to another player.

Analytics

The app reports aggregate usage — which screens are opened, which games are played — through Google Analytics for Firebase, so we can tell which parts of the app are worth improving. These are counts and event names. They do not include your puzzle content, your name, or your photo. You can turn analytics off in the app's settings, which stops collection at the SDK rather than merely hiding it.

Notifications

There is exactly one notification in this app: somebody answered a duel you sent. There are no streak reminders, no "come back", and no re-engagement messages. The app does not ask for notification permission on first launch — it asks only after you have sent a duel, and you can refuse or switch it off later in Settings.

What we never collect

No contact details, no location, no contacts, no photos or media library, no health data, no browsing history, and no advertising identifier — there are no ads in this app at all, rewarded or otherwise. There are no in-app purchases. The puzzles themselves contain no words and no user-generated content, and there is no chat.

Who processes data for us

Convex (the game's backend: daily results, duels, ghosts, friends), Google Firebase (analytics), and Expo's push service (delivering the one notification described above). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Security and retention

Everything is encrypted in transit (TLS). Daily results, duels and ghost runs age out on their own; a push token is removed as soon as you turn notifications off.

Deleting your data

There is no account to close. Because the identifier lives on your device, deleting the app removes it, and everything left on our side becomes permanently unattributable — it is no longer connected to any device or person. If you would like the rows themselves erased, e-mail us from the address below and tell us roughly when and where you played, and we will remove them.

Children

Puzzle Arcade is suitable for all ages. It contains no words in any puzzle, no chat, no user-generated content, no ads, and no purchases.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
